Grammys Hangover:
We LOVED Cee-Lo’s performance: the bird costume, the Muppets-esque band, Gwyneth… BUT it seemed familiar, didn’t it?
Gaga emerged from an alien pod, or as simpletons have put it, “hatched from an egg…” Meanwhile, Gaga’s Born This Way is the 2011 version of Madonna’s Express Yourself - don’t get us wrong, we LOVE Gaga but the buildup and execution didn’t live up to the expectation… hopefully the album will be better than the title track cuz we’re in some serious need of new dance music!

An though we loved Gaga and Cee-Lo’s performances (and thought Cee-Lo definitely out-Gaga-ed Gaga), we were a bit disappointed. With recycled songs and recycled performances, is this the best music can do?
Other observations:
- What was up with Bob Dylan’s mic? You could barely hear him! And who were the bands backing him up? Was one of them The Black Keys? And who the heck are Mumford & Sons? Ugh, am I getting old or am I just not hipster enough?
- LOVED Muse’s performance and the video backdrop
- Really surprised Arcade Fire won Album of the Year, thought Gaga had it for sure! Those sneaky Canadians! Haha!
- REALLY TIRED of the song, Need You Know
- Surprised Katy Perry didn’t perform Fire Work and wished she did
- Wonder what Barbra Streisand, Bob Dylan and Mick Jagger think of Bieber fever
- Laughed when the camera cut to Will and Jada Smith watching their son Jaden perform with The Biebs - they looked like every proud suburban parent at their kid’s play/musical.
- Laughed even more when the camera cut to Nicole Kidman singing along to Katy Perry’s performance of Teenage Dream. Nicole is a tween at heart!
